Cheese and Port Dip for Apples

This is a very adult appetizer or snack food and great for entertaining. Try to use a good Port. I use MacLaren’s Imperial Sharp Cold Pack Cheddar cheese. Serve with Granny Smith apples dipped in lemon juice.

Original recipe makes 1 3/4 cup

Ingredients

1/2 pound shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup port wine

Directions

  1. Beat the Cheddar cheese, sour cream, and port wine together until smooth; then pack into a crock. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
