Jan’s Crumb Topping or Streusel

I add this topping to muffins, pie, and cakes so often I decided to make it in a large amount and freeze. Now I have it ready whenever the mood strikes!

Original recipe makes 72 servings


1 cup butter
2/3 cup white sugar
2/3 cup brown sugar
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon, or to taste

  1. Beat butter, white sugar, and brown sugar with an electric mixer until creamy. Mix flour and cinnamon into creamed butter until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Store in airtight container in the freezer until needed.
