Protein Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Tasty cookies with a protein supplement, perfect for people who work out and are grossed out by protein shakes. Can substitute flavored supplements for a fruity twist.

Original recipe makes 2 dozen cookies

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup water
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup powdered protein supplement
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/3 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, peanut butter, brown sugar and white sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla and water. Combine the flour, protein powder, baking soda and salt; stir into the creamed mixture. Fold in chocolate chips. Drop dough by heaping spoonfuls onto un-greased cookie sheets.
  3. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
