Ingredients
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup whole wheat flake cereal
1/2 cup flaked coconut
Directions
- Cream shortening with sugars. Beat in egg and vanilla.
- Mix together dry ingredients and stir into wet mix. Place by heaping spoonfuls on an ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 10 minutes. Remove immediately to cool.
