Mmmmmm this frosting is really good. You can either ice cookies with it, or cut pieces of cake into small shapes and make "petit fours".
Original recipe makes 3 – 4 cups
Ingredients
4 cups confectioners’ sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup milk
3 drops red food coloring
Directions
- Cream butter and add sugar alternately with milk, use enough milk to have a semi thin icing, but not watery. Mix in vanilla. Separate icing into several bowls and tint each a different color. Frost cookies and decorate!
