When you’re planning a party, and your oven is going to be full, try this party mix in the slow cooker. Tastes as good but doesn’t take up oven space! You may make a larger batch, but cooking time will need to be increased. If you like your bar-b-que party mix more bar-b-q-y, try increasing the liquid by 1/2 or double. Keep in mind that doing this may increase cooking time. Serve immediately or store in air tight containers.

This is a variation of a cake batter puppy chow mix. I like to bring this to gatherings because it is too addictive to keep at home! I like to use Crispix® for the shape, but you can use rice or corn Chex®. Store this in a sealed zipper bag or plastic container.

Halloween Party Mix

My kid’s teacher asked for ‘non-sweet treats’ for a Halloween party. A search of Allrecipes showed there were very few like that, so I took some party mix recipes and made my own. Pretzel sticks = wooden stakes. Animal-shaped crackers = wild beasts. Toasted rice cereal = tombstones.

Addictive Texas Trash

I make this as yearly tradition at holiday time in my home. I also make a batch of this to send to my brother for his care package that I send him when he is deployed. I will warn you, it is very spicy and addictive. There should be a 12 step recovery program for this stuff.
