This stuff is soooooo good! You can either make it from scratch as I have it here, or you can simply add the pumpkin and spices to a pre-made 32 fl. oz container of hummus. I have played around with it in different recipes, but it makes such a good dip for either soft pita or chips. It is savory and warm tasting and I heartily recommend everyone try it! Be sure to use pureed pumpkin, not pumpkin pie filling.
Bean Dips
Val and Jess’s Vegan Avocado Dip
We love avocados, and invented this dip together. It is super easy, and you can adjust the amounts of ingredients to suit your taste. It has been a party favorite ever since, and the majority of requests are from the meat lovers! Serve with blue corn chips.
Robin’s Best Ever Hummus
The best hummus recipe I ever had. A simple authentic tasting hummus is served with toasted pita wedges brushed with olive oil and seasoned with rosemary. A beautiful dish that goes well on an appetizer buffet.
Cottage Cheese, Avocado, and Black Bean Salsa
This may look and sound sort of bad, but let me tell you, there isn’t a tastier, nutritious, salsa-like dip to hold you over while you wait for dinner. Funny enough, this was created as an experiment with leftovers, and now I have over 15 friends making it on a regular basis! This is a great recipe that can be stored in the refrigerator for several days for a quick, anytime snack. (Frozen corn, heated and cooled in the same manner, may be used in place of the corn on the cob.)
Creamy Black Bean Dip
This lightly-flavored bean dip is a great appetizer. It is quick and easy to make. Serve with tortilla chips.
Best Ever Layered Mexican Dip
This is the quickest, easiest, best tasting Mexican dip ever! It’s great to serve at parties. I always make two!
Clemons Family Bean Dip
This is a seriously cheesy and beefy bean dip! Grab a bag of your favorite tortilla chips and start dipping. Every time I make this recipe everyone waits to see who will take home the leftovers. It is even better the second day.
Basil and Pesto Hummus
This deliciously sweet hummus is bursting with basil and an all-around pesto body. it’s so good, you could eat this by itself with a spoon, although spreading it on crackers of any kind will do.
Authentic Middle Eastern Hummus (Chummus)
Authentic chummus is very different and SO much tastier than its American counterpart. This chummus is creamy and delicate in taste rather than overpowered with garlic or thick and pasty. It is eaten warm, fresh, and as a whole meal spread out in a dish and drizzled with fresh olive oil. It is scooped up with pita, raw onion slices, or just a fork. Do NOT use canned chickpeas (garbanzo beans)!
Black Bean and Chickpea Hummus
A tahini-free version of hummus using canned black beans and chickpeas. Serve with pita bread and your choice of fresh veggies.
White Bean Spread With Garlic & Rosemary
This spread has a long shelf life – it can be refrigerated for up to 2 weeks – and can be pulled out for impromptu entertaining.
Raw Hummus
Raw organic hummus. A treat from traditionally cooked hummus and causes very little gas because all the enzymes are still there. When I serve this I make a depression in the middle and fill it with olive oil. Serve with pita bread, carrot or celery sticks, or small romaine leaves.
Basic Hummus
This basic recipe for hummus is quick and easy, and it tastes great with pita bread or veggies.
Fava Bean Breakfast Spread
A deliciously seasoned fava bean, onion, and tomato dip recipe! Traditionally served with pita bread for breakfast in Egypt.
Spicy Three Pepper Hummus
My family loves a popular brand of 3 pepper hummus. Unfortunately, they love it so much that a container is demolished in one sitting! This recipe makes 3 times the amount in the sore bought containers for about the same price as one 8 ounce tub.
White Bean Dip
An awesome alternative to the usual refried beans and tortilla chips. Serve this dip with pita chips or veggie wheat crackers
Fusion Hummus
This is kind of a Mediterranean twist on hummus. It’s quick, cheap, and super tasty. It goes great on bread, crackers, and is good even stirred into grilled vegetables. Plus, garlic, balsamic vinegar, and rosemary… how could you go wrong?
Easy Red Pepper Hummus
Red Pepper Hummus that has been a favorite of all my friends. Easy to make! Serve with chips, pita chips, veggies, or whatever.
Authentic Kicked-Up Syrian Hummus
This hummus recipe was handed down to me by my Syrian grandmother. I took it and tweaked it just a touch, adding roasted garlic, making it my most-requested recipe. I finally made it for my grandma a few months ago and she said it was incredible. That was my Oscar moment 🙂 Even people who don’t like hummus love this recipe. And I’m modest too!
Sun-Dried Tomato Hummus
Hummus is a creamy puree of garbanzo beans and tahini (sesame seed paste) seasoned with lemon juice and garlic. It is a popular spread and dip in Greece and throughout the Middle East.
