This recipe is easy and great for parties, especially for the New Year’s. This dip tastes good hot or cold. If you want a spicy dip, use 1 can black-eyed peas and 2 cans jalapeno black-eyed peas. To keep warm, put dip in slow cooker. Eat with tortilla chips or corn chips.
Bean Dips
Erin’s Jalapeno Hummus
A smooth hummus with a kick, great for a healthy snack and quick and easy to make. The dried jalapeno can be found in your local grocery store and looks like dried parsley. Add sun-dried tomatoes or roasted red pepper if you want to change up the flavor, but this is completely optional. Garnish with a sprig of parsley and serve with pita bread or as a dip for veggies!
Sesame Seed Oil Hummus
Delicious hummus recipe that does not use tahini. Mashing the chickpeas is optional, but I think it makes it blend easier.
Sandie’s Seven-Layer Bean Dip
At every family gathering, I am asked to make this dish. It’s so yummy, it’s always the first thing to go. Serve dip with chips or spread onto tortillas. It’s great when topped with guacamole!
Decadent Hummus
I have made this recipe for my family for several years now and it never disappoints. My kids take it on ski trips to share with the team and everyone always loves it! They always want to know why our hummus is a dark brown color. It’s the olives! The recipe is equally great without the olives and/or feta. Wonderful with pita bread, chips, crackers, or veggies!
Simple Spicy Hummus
I have eaten hummus a few times a week for years now. A couple years back I wanted something different, so I started messing around. After a few trial runs, this recipe represents my favorite hummus.
Healthier Brownie Batter Dip
This is a crazy yummy dip that is one of the kids’ favorites. It’s also a huge treat for mom without a lot of guilt, as the ingredients are much more healthful than you’d think. Serve dip with fruit or graham crackers as a snack, dessert, or appetizer.
Yummy Cilantro-Jalapeno Hummus
If you love cilantro, you will love this hummus! I usually adjust the cilantro and lemon juice for flavor after mixing. Be sure to wear gloves while preparing the jalapeno; the oil will stay on your skin for a long time and will burn your eyes if you wear contacts. (I found out the hard way!) The hummus can be made up to 3 days ahead and refrigerated. Return to room temperature before serving with crackers or pita bread.
Cheesy Burrito Game Day Dip
A quick and easy recipe that has become our favorite for football game day. It is so tasty and is filling too. Low fat cheese works well in this also. Serve with tortilla or corn chips and side of guacamole.
Wasabi and Soy Sauce Hummus
A healthy hummus, with a sushi-like twist! This is my first ever published recipe, so please be honest and kind in your comments! For my first batch I tried adding a sheet of nori (seaweed). I do not recommend this, unless you REALLY like the flavor of nori, as it completely overpowered the other flavors. Maybe some small slices on top, as a garnish? I’ve found that this recipe makes a nice condiment on sandwiches, too!
Zesty Walnut Hummus
An ultra nutritious dip that is easy to prepare and makes a great snack or appetizer.
No-Fuss Mexican Layered Dip
Here’s a reason to shout ‘olĂ©!’ We’ve taken this popular dip and given it a fiesta-ready, better-for-you spin.
Tasty Taco Bean Dip
Serve this very easy and tasty bean dip with tortilla chips. Baked beans add a unique flavor to an otherwise traditional favorite. It’s always the first to go at parties!
Ruthann’s Beefy Bean Dip
This is an appetizer that the guys love. You may get them to take you to a party if they know this will be served. I usually triple the recipe.
Easiest Layer Dip
I came up with this while on a limited budget and craving a layer dip sans guacamole, lettuce, olives, etc. Super easy and totally delicious!
Quick and Easy Hummus
Serve with a drizzle of olive oil and a dash of paprika; this middle-eastern dish is irresistible!
Black Olive Hummus
My husband claims store-bought hummus is too gritty so he never liked it. But by adding extra liquids it makes it ‘smooth like butta.’ Now he’s a hummus fan! One can of chickpeas makes so much that what used to be an expensive ‘when-it’s-on-sale’ kind of treat is now a delicious snack I can have anytime!
Chef John’s Green Hummus
This simple, basil-spiked ‘green’ hummus is a great summer twist on everyone’s favorite spread. Turkey on wheat? Yawn. Turkey on wheat with green hummus? Hello! And don’t even get me started on wraps. I won’t even touch a wrap that doesn’t contain hummus, and neither should you.
5 Layer Mexican Dip
This is one of my favorite recipes. Great for football games, tailgates, or any party. Very EASY to make!
